We believe that the Lord is in the business of restoring all people and all things, and we can't wait to see what God has planned for you.
Whether you're new to church, have been a Christian for many years, or are seeking a new start, you are welcome at Highland. Our hope is to provide a place where you are able to explore and experience.
Everything we do as a church focuses on partnering with God to reveal the Kingdom at Highland, in Abilene, and in the world.
Each Sunday service lasts a little over one hour. We will spend time together worshiping God through song, lifting up our prayers, sharing communion, and hearing a sermon based in Scripture. People from all walks of life and backgrounds gather together with us on Sunday mornings. You're invited to simply come as you are—no need to dress up.
If you have little ones, know we believe that children are an important part of our church. All children are welcomed and invited to be a part of our worship services. Don’t worry, we don’t mind the giggles, wiggles, or cries.
We are each completely loved by God. Our Sunday morning services are where we gather together to discover and proclaim characteristics of God. Whether you're new to faith, have questions, or been a follower of Christ for a long time, our services are a place to learn more about what it means to know and praise God.
We were made to be in community. At Highland, we believe that there is power in doing life together and that God works through intentional relationships. Doing life together with others in Restore Highland Groups is a practical and enjoyable way to discover what life-changing community is life.
God has a purpose and plan for each of us. We believe that our identity is in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. By putting on baptism, we have died to self and been raised in new life to walk in the fullness of God's story for us.
We are called to partner with God in the restoration of all things. When we do, the Bible tells us that we will experience joy. We hope to connect every person with the opportunity to live out their calling through using their gifts to restore Highland, Abilene, and the world.
