Marriage Ministry

God does great restoration work in us in the context of our families & through our marriages.

As a part of the Restore Highland and Restore Abilene vision, we provide equipping to couples as they prepare to enter into the covenant of marriage, marriage enrichment and ministry for marriages in crisis. We believe as we grow in our personal relationships with God, we grow in our relationships with our spouses, which as a result impacts our lives on all levels.

We also offer many opportunities for families to engage the restoration work of God through a collaboration of ministries. You can find ways to connect and grow through our Children’s ministry, Student ministry, Bible Classes, Small Groups and many other grass roots happenings.

Highland is delighted to offer this marriage ministry to all in the Abilene community. re|engage is a marriage enrichment program that is offered for marriages in any condition – whether you are struggling to get along, your marriage is broken, or you simply want to grow closer together as a couple.

Marriage Preparation

Premarital counseling is offered through the Highland Counseling Center.
A Marriage & Family Therapist guides each couple through the Prepare Assessment while personalizing counseling to their specific needs. Couples are also matched with a mentor couple from Highland to share wisdom and build relationships. Our premarital preparation is 10 hours and earns the Twogether in Texas certificate for the couple to get a discount on their marriage license.
