2024 FREE SPRING MEALS:

We believe children in Abilene should have access to three meals every day! Holiday breaks can be challenging for kids and families who rely on meals served at school each weekday. Once again, during Spring Break (March 11-15), we’re joining the Highland Food Pantry and Abilene Hunger Coalition in providing nutritious, healthy lunches for people who need a meal.

Here’s how you can join us in working to end childhood hunger in Abilene:

  • Click the “sign up to volunteer” button below to help out for a few hours one day during the upcoming Spring Break week of March 11-15.
  • Cooking will be done in the Highland kitchen, preparing and assembling approximately 350 meals per day.
  • Children ages 8 and older are welcome to serve with their families on these teams.
