Charles Smith
Charles has been a member of Highland since 2017 and part-time on Highland’s staff since April of 2019 in the Adult Faith Ministry, after 40 years in full-time ministry elsewhere. He follows up on Connect cards, interacts with guests and new members, and tends to the adult Bible class ministry. Charles has had a heart for spiritual formation for many years and still reads a great deal in this area.
He and his wife, Deanne, have been married since 1978. They have three adult children and now
three grandchildren. They love day trips in the West Texas area and travel in general.
Charles loves to read, tend to two dogs, Googling the answer to the question of the moment, and
keeping up with the Rangers and Mavericks.
