Michael Stanford
Michael began working at Highland in August of 2015 as one of the worship ministers on staff. He believes that “sung worship” as the body of Christ is one of the most powerful ways God transforms our hearts and minds, as it did for him. He is passionate about creating meaningful spaces of worship where we can encounter Jesus and grow into people of love.
Michael grew up in Nashville, TN before moving to Abilene in 2015 to work at Highland. He married his best friend, Kelsey, in August of 2020 and enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, football, and connecting with others over coffee and delicious food.
