Serve

We believe everyone is invited to give their time, talents, and treasure to the work God is already doing.

Restore Highland Opportunities

Children

More than 50 volunteers serve each week in His Kids Ministry, making a difference in the lives of our children. It takes a village to share and live God’s story together. We have opportunities for all kinds of service from caring for a baby in the nursery to teaching 5th graders. We structure our gathering times so volunteers can focus on building relationships with the children. We believe consistent interaction with trusted, familiar adults is an essential component to a child’s spiritual formation. All volunteers are required to pass a background check and complete a MinistrySafe Training.

Students

We believe students need a place to belong. It is important to us that each student is enthusiastically greeted each week, has several adults in their life that check in regularly, and they are known by their peers. Both students and adults in Highland Student Ministry are dedicated to ensuring students have a safe space to be themselves free of judgement. Each time we gather is an opportunity to welcome someone in and learn more about Jesus through knowing them.

Volunteers serve as teachers, Huddle leaders, retreat chaperones, and more. All volunteers are required to pass a background check and complete a MinistrySafe Training.

University

University Ministry volunteers serve as Sunday morning teachers, and DIG leaders on Sunday nights. Additionally, we value university students and young adults as full members of Highland and look for ways to incorporate students into the larger church community. Contact Robert Lopez de Castilla, our University Minister, or Leah Kranz, our Associate University Minister, for volunteer opportunities.
